Blyk starts battle for the youth marketBlyk has rolled out in the UK on monday on the network of Orange. The company aims to expand its advertiser-funded model to other European markets. Blyk focuses on the seven million 16-24 year-olds in the United Kingdom. According to Mobile, Blyk is taking the direct approach – targeting 30 university campuses to encourage students to join by advertising in Fresher packs. The MVNO is funded by advertising and users will get 43 minutes and 217 texts free each month in exchange for receiving advertising on their phones.
